Adapter JTAG VREF Multi-COM it's universal JTAG adapter that emulate Vref for devices that require it (for exampel ORT - called Omnia Repair Tool). TO this moment each user of ORT must find on PCB Vref pin which are neccesary - by usign this adapter it musn't. Adapter will gives correct voltage depends on IC core - 1,8V for OMAP, 2,6V for Qualcomm and 3,3V for PXA (intelScale).

- enable correct Vref voltage to pin1 of JTAG device:
OMAP - 1,8V
Qualcomm - 2,6V
PXA (Xscale) - 3,3V
- jumper for cutout Vref to adapter (in case adapter for Vref installed but target not gives correct Vref to box and miniUSB connected)
- jumper for cutout to Box (in case devices that dont use Vref as for exampel Riff that use Internal DAC to switch to VCC pin1)

Connection possiblity:

BEFORE YOU CONNECT ADAPTER BEETWEN YOUR JTAG BOX AND TARGET MAKE SURE THAT YOU KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING - SO CORRECT VREF ROUTING AS WELL AS PLATFORM - GIVING WRONG VCC TO PIN1 MAY DEMAGE BOX OR YOUR TARGET

Most often you will use those options

JUMPER 1 ON / JUMPER 2 OFF / USB Connected - in this situation Vref are given to pin1 in Box/JTAG - no metter if target got vref connected or not, please use correct switch for correct platform

and

JUMPER 1 ON / JUMPER 2 OFF / USB NC - user mostly in case of devices that don't use Vref or use internal DAC as for exmapel Riff - then vref from board are cutted out so safe to readign/writign on target without any errors (neccessary if JIGs got Vref pin installed)
