WISDOMSHOW WDS-620v3 BGA soldering station (5.3 kW, 7" LCD, Split Vision) is a professional and modern solution for the removal and installation of BGA, uBGA, CBGA, CCGA, CSP, QFN, MLF, PGA, and SMD components, intended for consumer electronics, medical, telecommunications, military, and automotive service applications. The device is designed for repairing mainboards of personal and industrial computers, graphics cards, notebooks, consoles, mobile phones, as well as automotive modules and controllers manufactured using both leaded and lead-free soldering technologies. It is particularly recommended for working with large PCB boards. High power output and an efficient cooling system ensure effective operation while minimizing the duration of high-temperature exposure to the PCB. WDS-620 soldering station features a 7" touch-screen LCD display, a large quartz bottom preheater area of 375 × 285 mm, and the ability to switch off individual sections of the bottom preheater for smaller PCBs. It allows programming of up to 20,000 profiles and offers vertical adjustment of the bottom hot-air heater (under the PCB).

The station enables real-time monitoring and tracking of all parameters directly on the touch-screen LCD.
The LCD display shows all operating parameters in real time, including a graphical visualization of the heating process and both the set and achieved temperatures plotted for each of the three heating zones.
The following temperatures are displayed both numerically and graphically:

• target temperature for the current step,
• upper HR heater temperature,
• lower HR heater temperature,
• quartz IR bottom preheater temperature,
• actual temperature at the soldered component measured by both external sensors.

Additionally—something rarely found—the station separately displays, for each of the three zones, the total heating time within three temperature ranges defined by the operator, enabling the creation of soldering profiles compliant with IPC standards.
After completion of the soldering process, the full heating process for all three heating zones can be analyzed on the display.
The station software is equipped with a KEEP profile hold function. When activated, the station maintains all temperatures reached at that moment until the KEEP button is pressed again. This function is useful when solder joints are difficult to reflow at temperatures normally considered appropriate for a given alloy.
To ensure optimal soldering results, the station uses three independent heating zones/surfaces (upper, lower, and PCB preheater), each of which can be controlled and regulated separately.
Additionally, the heating sections of the bottom preheater can be switched off in blocks using two switches, for example when heating or preheating smaller PCBs.
The first (upper) and second (lower) zones use HR hot-air heating. The third (bottom) zone is a quartz IR heating element. This zone heats the PCB across its entire surface, reducing mechanical stress and lowering the temperature required for proper soldering.
The soldering process is programmed via the touch screen by creating an appropriate soldering profile tailored to the specific component and PCB.
Each of the three heating zones can be controlled independently using up to eight parameter groups/steps.

Each group/step consists of three parameters:

• temperature ramp rate per second,
• final temperature value,
• dwell time at the set temperature.

Thanks to precise control of temperature ramps and values at every stage, the station meets the highest IPC standards, which strictly define the individual BGA soldering phases such as PREBAKE, PREHEAT, SOAK, REFLOW, and COOLING.
Accurate temperature measurement in each zone is ensured by precise Type-K thermocouples with an accuracy of ±3 °C operating in a closed-loop system.
After each desoldering/soldering process, an alarm is generated. In the event of uncontrolled high temperatures or fan failure, the programmed protection system can trigger an alarm and disconnect the heating zones.
On the left side of the station, there is a highly efficient cross-flow fan that automatically cools PCBs after desoldering and soldering. This prevents PCB deformation and protects the reballing result.
The station is equipped with five PCB support points on each side. The main PCB holder features a V-groove, ensuring quick and stable PCB mounting and a wide adjustment range.
For irregularly shaped PCBs, the station includes six PCB holders that, in addition to V-grooves, are equipped with pins ideally suited for placement in PCB mounting holes.
To eliminate PCB bending during the soldering process, the holder also features two rows of supports and allows direct support beneath the soldered component.
To direct hot air and protect adjacent components, magnetic nozzles are designed for both the upper and lower sections of the station. The nozzles can be mounted easily with one hand and adjusted or rotated to any angle. All upper and lower hot-air nozzles feature special side openings that discharge excess hot air.

The station is equipped with a Split Vision HD system that enables precise alignment of components relative to PCB pads using:

• a prism system with LED backlighting,
• three micrometric screws enabling rotation of components and PCBs in all required planes,
• an HD camera with magnification and an LCD monitor.

Additionally, the station allows automatic lifting and lowering of BGA components.

The station is also equipped with:

• a laser pointer for centering components relative to the upper and lower hot-air zones and the quartz preheater,
